Factory license application

Applying for a factory license in Thailand involves multiple steps and different government departments. Here is the general application process and required documents:

 Determine the factory category

Thailand divides factories into three categories, and the application requirements and processes for each type of factory are slightly different:
Category I factories: No license is required, only environmental and safety standards must be followed.
Category II factories: need to notify the Ministry of Industry and start operations after complying with regulations.
Category III factories: require a factory license from the Ministry of Industry before they can start operations.

 Application Process

Step 1: Choose an appropriate factory location
Factories should be sited in areas that comply with local land use planning and ensure that the location meets environmental protection and safety standards.

Step 2: Prepare application documents
The main application documents include:
– Company registration documents
– Land lease or purchase contract
– Building blueprints and equipment layouts
– Environmental impact assessment report (if applicable)
– Plant Operations Plan

Step 3: Submit your application
Submit an application to the Ministry of Industry of Thailand or a local industrial office. For Category III factories, detailed application materials must be submitted and await review and on-site inspection.

Step 4: Approval and Certification
The approval process includes document review and on-site inspection. After approval, a factory license will be issued.
